New Royal Flying Doctor Service Television Commercials
The RFDS provides aeromedical emergency and primary healthcare services together with communication and education assistance to people who live, work and travel in regional and remote Australia.
Silk Studios is proud to have been chosen as the post production company to produce the Royal Flying Doctor Service's latest television commercials, which were completed in Avid.
The TVC spots were narrated by Natalie Michaels and help to raise people's awareness that the Royal Flying Doctor Service uses the latest in avaiation, medical and communication technology, delivered by a dedicated team of professionals.
RFDS are a non-for-profit organisation. Supoorted by the Commonwealth, State and Territory Governments, thay also receive donations from the community and various corporations from across Australia.
Ben Hur
BEN HUR is coming to ANZ Stadium
Ben Hur the 1959 epic is coming to ANZ stadium and Silk Studios was assigned the task of creating all the TVC's as well as the corporate promo reel.
Direct from Europe, Ben Hur: 'Bigger Than The Legend', will perform exclusively in Sydney for 2 nights, on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 October 2010.
Ben Hur combines the scale of the Sydney Olympic Games Opening Ceremony with the drama of the galley slave who dared to defy the powerful Roman Empire.
This monumental $15 million stadium adaptation has been crafted by renowned French director Robert Hossein. The performance features a live chariot race with 32 horses, a giant Roman Galleon, a parade of Roman legionnaires and a 15,000 square metre specially constructed arena that will transform ANZ stadium into the biggest Roman Amphitheatre ever seen.

Elvy Fox selected Silk Studios to showcase all their international TVC's which Silk also distributes both nationally and internationally. These TVC's range from: Top Gear, Dr Who, Little House On The Prairie, World War II, Ferrari and How Your Body Works.
Burt Bacharach
Silk Studios was assigned by Watch This Space Television to create the opening titles for the "John Foreman Presents - Burt Bacharach" television special, using the highly in demand Smoke Suite.
The stunning effects were created with the same Sapphire plug ins which are used by all the major Hollywood effects companies.
The opening titles were a true reflection of the exquisite and truly amazing music showcased on the night.

SILK STUDIOS NEW CO-PRODUCTION WITH SKY NEWS AUSTRALIA
Silk Studios is pleased to announce the production of a new current affairs special for Sky News Australia. The program entitled 'The Interview' is hosted by Sky News Award Winning Journalist David Speers. The first program in the series went to air on Friday May 15 and featured a 'no holes barred' interview with former Prime Minister John Howard. The combined resources of Australia's pre-eminent News and Current Affairs Network with Silk Studio's production expertise, promises to deliver an outstanding quality production.
